Welcome to the CRKSG

Welcome to the Canberra Region Kidney Support Group (CRKSG) Inc web site. CRKSG is a patient self-help group made up of people with kidney failure and their families, carers and friends. This website aims to give members and non members of CRKSG a guide to our organisation and how we can help you.

The CRKSG logo was designed by Sue Keunen. The logo represents the person as a whole, meaning that the whole person with kidney failure is to be supported. The CRKSG acknowledges the contribution made by Sue.

We hope that you find our web site interesting and informative.

Organ Donation

For those considering organ donation, and who perhaps have some doubts, a fact sheet (in PDF format) to help you make up your mind can be found at: Organ Donation Facts (45KB). Donor Registration forms are obtainable from all Medicare offices and from the waiting rooms of many medical service providers. Some contact details for the Organ Donor Register may be found on the Links page of this site.

Renal Carers

Carers please take note there is now a Carers page to provide information to Carers and for you to contact your Renal Advisory Meeting Carers Representative.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The 2010 AGM will be held on Saturday 14th August 2010 at 2:00pm in Building 1, Pearce Centre, Collett Place, Pearce. The meeting is open to anyone interested in, or affected by kidney disease. All members of the Group are urged to attend.

If there are insufficient starters to form a quorum, there will be a supplementary AGM one week later, ie. on Saturday 21st August 2010, probably at the same time and venue as the original AGM.
